Industrial Renewal District
A former legacy industrial belt now under active redevelopment by the Ministry of Development. The district is the largest single redevelopment programme in the history of Urban Protocol.
Overview
The Industrial Renewal District comprises the eastern industrial belt that predated the Protocol Era. Once a region of declining productivity and contaminated land, the district has been the focus of a sustained redevelopment programme led by Minister Adrian Holt. New housing, light industry, and educational facilities have replaced most of the legacy infrastructure.
Character
The district remains in active development. Construction is visible across the western half. Residents report high optimism in Citizen Wellbeing Authority surveys, with employment in newly constructed light industry the most-cited factor.
